"Experience the Market"

The Market is back....bringing a touch of the country, to the heart of the city.Create a sustainable lifestyle or just come to shop and enjoy a Saturday morning with your family, friends and neighbors in beautiful, historic, downtown York. The market provides the community with fresh, seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers, honey, bake sale items, and eggs. As well as handmade crafts, candles, soap, leather goods, pottery, ...and new this year, something for your furry friends, and SO MUCH MORE! Every Saturday morning, the market will be transformed into a creative, educational, homey and lively community gathering place. The market is FREE to vendors and to the public. The market will feature live, local entertainment, an Earth Day celebration, "Ask a Master Gardner", "Wellness Day", a tractor show and 4H farm day, cooking and bar-b-q demonstrations by local chefs, bake sales, face painting, horse drawn carriage rides, and seasonal events. New this year is a monthly Yard Sale on the first Saturday. Non-profits, scouts, and church groups are invited to participate with hot dog sales, bake sales, lemonade stand, etc. Local clubs, churches and businesses are invited to have information booths as well.The farmers market is located on N Congress St, open Saturdays from 8:00AM-Noon. Join us for the opening of the Downtown York Farmers Market on Saturday, April 5, from 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. in downtown York, N. Congress St. Individuals and non-profits are invited to participate as vendors FREE of charge.

We hope to provide the community with the best place to find fresh, seasonal, locally grown and homemade selection of fruit and vegetables, honey, jams, baked goods, herbs, flowers, handmade crafts, gourmet and organic items, and much, much more! Every Saturday morning April – October, the market lot will be transformed into a creative, educational, homey, and vibrant community gathering place.

Each vendor will receive a 10x10 space (no tables, chairs, or canopy provided), FREE. Spaces may be shared, and limited electricity is available.

Summer Safety Awareness Day

The York Police, Fire and Rescue Depts will be at the market from 9AM-Noon this week,
to share summer safety awareness with the community.

*Carseat safety, bicycle, water, and sports safety info,
as well as child finger printing will be available.
Children can take a climb through the fire truck, ambulance too.

Clowns and FREE face painting for the children!

Your favorite vendors from last season have returned and new ones are joining us weekly!!!
FRESH produce is starting to arrive!!!

for helping to make last weeks "Farm Day" such a success!

The market "yard sale" will be back in the spring on the first Saturday of the Month. The sale is open to the public and the community is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clean out their attics, garages, and closets and do your part for the environment by recycling your unwanted items. You’ll have the opportunity to shop for and sell treasures. Bargain hunters beware! Vendor space is available for $10. Admission for the public is FREE. You can thank honey bees for that long list of goodness, as these hardworking insects are responsible for pollinating more than 100 crops nationwide. Sadly, in recent years, beekeepers have lost more than one-third of their bees to a phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder (CCD), in which bees mysteriously abandon their hives and die. Pesticides, viruses, poor nutrition and cell phone signals are often cited as culprits; however, the exact cause of CCD remains uncertain.
