"Experience the Market"

The Market is back....bringing a touch of the country, to the heart of the city.Create a sustainable lifestyle or just come to shop and enjoy a Saturday morning with your family, friends and neighbors in beautiful, historic, downtown York. The market provides the community with fresh, seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers, honey, bake sale items, and eggs. As well as handmade crafts, candles, soap, leather goods, pottery, ...and new this year, something for your furry friends, and SO MUCH MORE! Every Saturday morning, the market will be transformed into a creative, educational, homey and lively community gathering place. The market is FREE to vendors and to the public. The market will feature live, local entertainment, an Earth Day celebration, "Ask a Master Gardner", "Wellness Day", a tractor show and 4H farm day, cooking and bar-b-q demonstrations by local chefs, bake sales, face painting, horse drawn carriage rides, and seasonal events. New this year is a monthly Yard Sale on the first Saturday. Non-profits, scouts, and church groups are invited to participate with hot dog sales, bake sales, lemonade stand, etc. Local clubs, churches and businesses are invited to have information booths as well. The farmers market is located on N Congress St, open Saturdays from 8:00AM-Noon. Mother & Daughter Tea this Saturday May 3rd, 2008 ~ 11am to Noon....

"Hands ever eager for deeds that are kind
Ready to help, to heal, or to bind.
Feet never tiring by night or by day,
of helping God's weaker ones
over life's way.
Eyes in whose depths always linger a smile.
Seeing through love only good things worthwhile.
Heart always ready with comfort for others.
All these are yours
best and dearest of Mothers."

Please join us for tea...

Don't forget to bring the essentials: tea cup & dolly or teddy! Your Hostess, Delicious Wishes will provide the tea (hot & cold), tea treats, and little party favors & a pretty little area where you can sip your tea with your little princess ~*~*~

Dear Madia, The hostess with the mostest! Thank you so much for the tea party today! It was a such a pleasure to see the moms and daughters come and enjoy themselves. You went to so much work, and put so much time into it. It was lovely. I know that even Hannah and Delaney (the tom boys that they are)had fun and loved to actually get "dress up". Our little tea parties at home pale to what they got to enjoy today. Thank you.
Signa
